What's inside
Universal brushes with a very good elasticity, ideal for thin-bodied paints and hobby acrylic paints made of synthetic, gold-colored fibers with a fiber thickness of 0.10 mm. These brushes have a seamless ferrule, short unvarnished natural wood style and are ideal for oil, acrylic and gouache painting.
The Giotto Decor Textile pens are fabric fiber markers for decorating all types of fabrics.
The fabric fiber paints are permanent and machine washable up to 40°C. All Decor Textile pens are water-based, non-toxic and safe. With their special pen tip, the fiber pens are especially good for use on fabrics. All colors can be easily removed from the skin. It is recommended to iron the finished creations at a low temperature to ensure that the colors become machine washable.
Water based colours dedicated to the decoration of most dark, thin or thick fabrics. These covering, concentrated, intense and vivid colours can be mixed together. They have an excellent lightfastness.
Setacolor Opaque colours can be used on all prewashed fabrics: cotton, wool, mesh, jersey, velvet, jacquard knit, polyester, mixed fibers. They can be used pure or diluted with water to obtain a watercolor effect. Their rich texture is particularly indicated for various textile decorating techniques: with a paint brush, dropper, stamp, silkscreen painting stencil.
To fix the Setacolor colours, iron the reverse side of the decorated fabric for 5 minutes on cotton position with no steam. It is also possible to put the fabrics in the kitchen oven. After 5 minutes at 150°C (300°F) the colours are fixed. Once fixed, the colours resist machine washing.
The cotton industry is worth over US$50 billion a year, but five countries – China, India, the US, Pakistan and Brazil – produce the majority of the roughly 26 million tonnes of cotton harvested in each year. Along with Turkey and the European Union, heavy subsidies by these major players keep the global cost of cotton artificially low. This puts pressure on small-scale farmers in countries where governments lack the resources for similar subsidies.
